Drawing plans, seeking approval, applying for permits, moving earth, laying materials, pouring concrete...
The incredible story of the Nalu Pohaku Stonewave Sk8park traces its' origins to the hardworking and committed youth and staff at the Pa‘ia Youth & Cultural Center, to local Maui skaters and skate shops, to Blaze Anderson (founder), and to Pat Malpass (director).
Without vision, sweat, and probably more than a few tears, this testament to the passion of skateboarding would not be what it is today.
Each year the Stonewave Sk8park builds on the dreams of its founders, celebrates with skaters from all around the world, and prepares for the extraordinary dedication of the skaters who have started their path here.
