2	BRING KEYS TO SK8PARK.
3	UNLOCK ENTRY GATE AND TRAILER.
4	SWEEP all sandy, dirty areas: ALWAYS SWEEP Stereo wave, 3’, 4’ and 8’ pool pocket bowls. Sweep the entry and deck.
5	INSPECT ALL SKATE SURFACES While sweeping look for rocks, protruding cracks, water, crabs, etc. Clean, repair, or close area and notify Staff.
6	HELMETS: Check for safety. No Cracks. Padding is intact. Clips are working. ONLY helmets with working clips are used.
7	STEREO ON: Specialist monitors skater’s music selection-limit profanity; obnoxious, foul lyrics not allowed!
8	TURN ON COMPUTER:
9	CHECK FIRST AID AND TOOL KIT NO unauthorized personnel allowed in trailer!
10	UNLOCK CHAINS: pull chains and place all keys in box.

1	SIGN-IN SKATERS: Sign in on the daily log. Have 9-21 members check self on PYCC daily. Check name and membership status on the POS .
NEW	*NEW MEMBERS: Ages 4-8 must be accompanied by parent. Ages 4-17 must have parent present to sign or notarized if signed at home. Ages 18+ can sign for their selves. Ages 9-19 (Maui Residents) must have PYCC Membership.
2	SKATERS fill out information completely and legibly, verify age and signatures and sign as witness if complete.
3	GIVE skater a brochure and explain prices and hours, and tell skaters to read rules and other information.
4	ESCORT AND INTRODUCE NEW MEMBERS AND GENERAL ADDMITTANTS TO PYCC STAFF. Paia Bay Café, bathrooms and filtered drinking water are located in PYCC.
5	COLLECT General Admission or Sk8 Club Membership Dues and place in POS cash register.
6	WRITE amount given in daily sign-in sheet. Enter appropriate membership status in boxes,
7	ADD NAME to the POS system. Fill out required waiver. Data entry into POS system. File original document in file system.
8	INSPECT EQUIPMENT AND GEAR: Must have a Helmet with working clip, shoes, and skateboard/blades in good condition.
9	READY TO SKATE!
CURRENT MEMBERS
1	SIGN-IN SKATERS: check name and status by age on membership.
2	VERIFY MEMBERSHIP (Sk8 Club and PYCC) and status, by age, in membership list. EXPLAIN CURRENT MEMBERSHIP STATUS and options for Session fees.
3	COLLECT General Admission or Sk8 Club Membership Dues and place in cash register.
4	WRITE amount given in daily sign-in sheet. Enter adjusted membership status
5	INSPECT EQUIPMENT AND GEAR: Must have a Helmet with working clip, shoes, and skateboard/blades in good condition.

2	REGISTER ALL SKATERS AND VISITORS.
3	BE AWARE of skater flow, crowd, ages and abilities, and spectators. Watch for tension and outbursts. Explain rules.
4	SPECTATORS allowed in authorized areas only! (Grass, registration area, and across the “wave” to the stage if crowd allows only).
5	KEEP AREA CLEAN; Pick up litter, leaves, and scrap boards, etc. Recycle items in tub as appropriate.
6	SK8PARK IS NOT RESPONSIBLE for lost and stolen items. Do NOT agree to watch personal items!
7	PROVIDE FIRST AID as necessary. Any incident above your level of training notify staff and 911 if life threatening.
8	USE PHONE for info and backup. PRESS HOLD 4 to call Sk8 Office, HOLD 3 for Drop-in, HOLD 5 Café.
9	PROMOTE FUN, COOPERATION, MUSIC, AND APPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR!

1	20 MINUTES PRIOR TO CLOSING: Collect unused helmets, brooms, pick up litter and put away any random items.
2	15 MINUTES PRIOR TO CLOSING; Get PYCC Sign-in notebook and enter sk8park attendance for the day. * 9-19 year olds with membership ID numbers under their name and ID.
3	CALL “LAST RUN!” Get crew to help PULL CHAINS, and LOCK in appropriate areas.
4	COLLECT remaining helmets, tools and loaned gear and place in trailer.
5	TURN OFF STEREO: Check tool kit/first aid box.
6	LOCK TRAILER, SIDE GATE, and ENTRY GATE.
7	TURN OFF COMPUTER: Clipboard in trailer. .
8	TALLY MEMBERSHIP SHEET MONEY COLLECTED (minus bank $20).
9	FILL OUT AMOUNTS COLLECTED for each category and write in on Daily OPS Checklist and Deposit Slip. File Daily Ops Checklist in box.
10	DEPOSIT TOTAL AMOUNT IN “SAFE”, and LOCK it up.
11	FILL OUT TIMESHEET(Adult employees), or Incentive Invoice (Sk8park Ops Youth), with the hours worked DAILY as appropriate.

SK8PARK PROGRAM PARTICIPATION INFORMATION

SK8 CLUB:

Ages 4-100 years are eligible, must be a Hawaii or long-term Resident, and a registered skater with paid membership and completed waiver.

Youth ages 9-19 must also complete a PYCC general membership packet.

They must sign-in at all visits.

TOURISTS:

Tourists or outer-island visitors, ages 4-100, may sign up as a skater.

They must fill out a Sk8 Club Membership Waiver and sign-in and are not members of PYCC.

SPECTATOR:

All ages allowed (under 9 yrs must be with parent or 18 yr old).

Spectators don’t need a membership, but must sign-in at entrance and stay in designated areas.

This includes all non-skater types, (parents, bands/DJ, PYCC Youth Members, etc.).

SK8PARK OPS TRAINING: SK8PARK SPECIALIST AND CREW

Must be a PYCC member, but does not have to be a Sk8 Club member to participate.

Must sign-in and record all training dates, times and subjects.

Train and advance in levels to earn sk8 credits or cash incentives.

SK8PARK TEAM:

Skater must be a PYCC member, and a registered and current Sk8 Club member.

Team members are required to maintain good grades in a school program.

Team members are required to be Ambassadors for the sk8park, and must maintain a good standing in the community and a health conscious life style.

SK8PARK OPS STUDY SHEET

TRAINING AND INCENTIVE LEVEL DESCRIPTIONS

LEVEL 1: CREW 1: This is the starting category for all training levels.

Eligible youth must be at least 9 years old to enroll, and to acquire the knowledge and skills required to advance to the next level.

Youth must actively be involved in activities, programs, lectures, projects, events, and regular operations in the sk8park.

This position requires a minimum of 4 hours a month participation to progress.

LEVEL 2: CREW 2

This position involves performing required duties as on the job training, as well as lectures and assignments.

Duties, projects, training, and event staffing skills are learned and put into action with direct supervision from Sk8park Specialists or the Sk8park Director.

This position requires a minimum of 8 hours a month participation to progress.

LEVEL 3: MANAGER: (Sk8park Specialist Internship)

A Trainee must pass all category Assistant levels to be eligible to Intern as a manager.

This level of training reflects a commitment spent in training and performing all aspects of each training category.

Duties, projects, training, and event staffing skills are developed and put into action without direct supervision from Sk8park Specialists or the Sk8park Director.

Managers are required to be detailed, efficient, responsible, and friendly, requiring minimal supervision while overseeing all sk8park operations.

Upon acceptance into manager level training the youth may receive Sk8 credits or incentive cash for approved participation activities.

Upon successful completion of the manager level training the youth is eligible to apply for a staff position as a Sk8park Specialist (18+).

This position requires a minimum of 12 hours a month participation to progress.

PARTICIPANT

I have read and reviewed the training plan completely. I understand my participation is voluntary, but completion (PASS in all sections) is required to receive incentive pay. Eligibility for incentive participation is based on the following requirements: Completion of levels (PASS), positive attitude & behavior reports, availability of positions and scheduling, and funding availability for each task, project, or event.

I agree to guide my actions with the 4 agreements while participating in this program.
