While sweeping look for rocks, protruding cracks, water, crabs, etc. Clean, repair, or close area and notify Staff.

SK8PARK OPS STUDY SHEET

SK8PARK PROGRAM PARTICIPATION INFORMATION

 

 

 

SK8 CLUB:

Ages 4-100 years are eligible, must be a Hawaii or long-term Resident, and a registered skater with paid membership and completed waiver.

 

Youth ages 9-19 must also complete a PYCC general membership packet.

They must sign-in at all visits.

 

 

 

 

 

TOURISTS:

Tourists or outer-island visitors, ages 4-100, may sign up as a skater.

They must fill out a Sk8 Club Membership Waiver and sign-in and are not members of PYCC.

 

 

 

 

 

SPECTATOR:

All ages allowed (under 9 yrs must be with parent or 18 yr old).

Spectators don’t need a membership, but must sign-in at entrance and stay in designated areas.

This includes all non-skater types, (parents, bands/DJ, PYCC Youth Members, etc.).

 

 

 

 

 

SK8PARK OPS  TRAINING: SK8PARK SPECIALIST AND CREW

Must be a PYCC member, but does not have to be a Sk8 Club member to participate.

Must sign-in and record all training dates, times and subjects.

Train and advance in levels to earn sk8 credits or cash incentives.

 

 

 

 

 

SK8PARK TEAM:

Skater must be a PYCC member, and a registered and current Sk8 Club member.

Team members are required to maintain good grades in a school program.

Team members are required to be Ambassadors for the sk8park, and must maintain a good standing in the community and a health conscious life style.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

SK8PARK OPS STUDY SHEET

TRAINING AND INCENTIVE LEVEL DESCRIPTIONS

 

LEVEL 1: CREW 1: This is the starting category for all training levels.

 

Eligible youth must be at least 9 years old to enroll, and to acquire the knowledge and skills required to advance to the next level.

 

Youth must actively be involved in activities, programs, lectures, projects, events, and regular operations in the sk8park.

 

This position requires a minimum of 4 hours a month participation to progress.

 

 

LEVEL 2: CREW 2

 

This position involves performing required duties as on the job training, as well as lectures and assignments.

 

Duties, projects, training, and event staffing skills are learned and put into action with direct supervision from Sk8park Specialists or the Sk8park Director.

 

This position requires a minimum of 8 hours a month participation to progress.

 

 

LEVEL 3: MANAGER: (Sk8park Specialist Internship)

 

A Trainee must pass all category Assistant levels to be eligible to Intern as a manager.

 

This level of training reflects a commitment spent in training and performing all aspects of each training category.

 

Duties, projects, training, and event staffing skills are developed and put into action without direct supervision from Sk8park Specialists or the Sk8park Director.

 

Managers are required to be detailed, efficient, responsible, and friendly, requiring minimal supervision while overseeing all sk8park operations.

 

Upon acceptance into manager level training the youth may receive Sk8 credits or incentive cash for approved participation activities.

 

Upon successful completion of the manager level training the youth is eligible to apply for a staff position as a Sk8park Specialist (18+).

 

This position requires a minimum of 12 hours a month participation to progress.

 

PARTICIPANT

I have read and reviewed the training plan completely. I understand my participation is voluntary, but completion (PASS in all sections) is required to receive incentive pay. Eligibility for incentive participation is based on the following requirements: Completion of levels (PASS), positive attitude & behavior reports, availability of positions and scheduling, and funding availability for each task, project, or event.

I agree to guide my actions with the 4 agreements while participating in this program.
